7 DAYS/6NIGHTS MURCHISON FALLS, KIBALE CHIMPS AND
QUEEN ELIZABETH.
Day 1: Leave
Kampala and drive Northwest to the famous Luwero Triangle. Stop at Masindi
town for hot lunch in a restaurant and continue on to Murchison Falls
National Park. Drive to the top of the falls where you see the beauty
of the great Nile perfected. Marvel at the Nile! The river compresses
from 50 meters to a squeeze of only 6 meters creating a beautiful rainbow.
This is the best thing that happened to the Nile. Enjoy the sunset and
leave for dinner and overnight at the lodge or at Red Chilli Bandas.
Day 2: After breakfast, across the Nile, spend the whole morning gameviewing.
You, your guide and the ranger will help each other to spot Elephants,
Lions, Buffalo, Rothschild giraffe, Cape Buffalo, Bush Buck, Hyena, Leopard
among other game in this park. After lunch, enjoy a 3-hour boat ride upstream
as you see lots of hippos and crocodiles that inhabit this river. This
boat ride offers an excellent platform of photography and bird watching.
There is well over 200 species of resident bird species, like Goliath
Heron, Pelican Bee-Eater, Hornbill, Cormorant, Egyptian goose and the
rare Shoebill. The boat stops only 10 meters off the falls and guests
can take wonderful photographs. Ride back down stream and return to the
lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Leave after breakfast and drive all day via Hoima to Fort
Portal, passing traditional homesteads and farms. Past the "Mountain
of the Moon" arrive at Kibale forest for dinner and overnight at
the lodge/camp.
Day 4: This is a full day in search of chimpanzees and other primates
found here. Your guide will provide you with all the necessary information
as well as explanations of the place, flora and fauna. Primates found
here include red, blue and grey checked-Mangabey, red Columbus, Phoebes.
Enjoy the stay with these primates as well as the birds.
Day 5: Leave after breakfast and proceed to Queen Elizabeth following
the mystic Ruwenzori Mountain range. Game drive enroute gives you a chance
to see Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, Hyenas and a variety of antelope species.
After lunch enjoy a 2-hour boat ride at Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward.
This is a good chance to take photos and enjoy colorful bird life as you
pass through possibly the highest concentration of hippos. There are well
over 550 resident birds in this region. Dinner and overnight camp/lodge.
Day 6: This day offers a chance to have 2 game drives in this national
park that has a diverse eco-system ranging from grassy plains, tropical
forest, swamps, lakes, rivers and volcanic craters. There is an incredible
abundance of wildlife with the massive Ruwenzori Mountains giving a backdrop.
Game found in this park include Lions, Leopards, giant forest hogs, Cape
Buffalos, Uganda Kobs, Topis, Bushbucks and Elephants. All meals and overnight
lodge or camp.
Day 7: Early morning after breakfast, leave for Maramagambo Forest.
In this tropical forest, there are variety of primates including chimpanzees,
visit also the bat caves and the "blue lake". Drive back to
Kampala with a stop for lunch enroute, arrive by late afternoon.

DAYS MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK.
Day 1: Leave Kampala at 0700hrs, drive north-west past the beauties
of Africa through Luwero Triangle and Masindi town where you stop for
lunch. Continue on after lunch and after entrance formalities, drive through
to arrive for an evening game drive across the Nile River. Dinner and
overnight at red Chilli Camp/Bandas or at Paraa Lodge.
Day 2: Early morning breakfast and leave with packed lunch if you
are staying at the Red Chilli. After lunch, a 3-hour boat ride upstream
on the placid Victoria Nile takes you to the base of the falls. En route,
you will see lots of hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck and a wide variety
of birds including the unusual shoebill stork. The boat stops just some
few meters from the "Devil's Cauldron" for guests to take pictures
of the majestic falls. The return to the lodge/camp is slow and quicker.
Dinner and overnight camp/lodge.
Day 3: After breakfast, drive from the lodge/camp to the top of
the falls where the Nile's beauty is perfected. Marvel at the Nile! The
river compresses from 50 meters to a squeeze of only 6 meters. The 40
meters thunderous roar creates a beautiful rainbow. After a picnic lunch
enroute, drive back to Kampala to arrive late afternoon.
